For audit trail purposes the app captures whether the offer is accepted by:
 phone,
 email,
 letter/signed heads of terms.

STEP 3 - Referencing: Tenants can undertake referencing at home,
in their own time – this is triggered by an email to each tenant and
any guarantors. The email provides each tenant and each guarantor
with a URL to:
 log in (password set at OFFER stage, but encrypted in URL in
case forgotten),
 enter bank and identity information in Planet Rent, then
 transfer to Veri-Check to complete their referencing.

Guarantor details (if required) are added at the Referencing stage.

Planet Rent is linked via API to Veri Check for referencing. As a
professional landlord you can become a Veri Check client and be billed
direct for referencing, or, you can be charged by us on a pay as you go
basis.

The traffic light system turns each TAB green when all required
data is input. When the [ identity ] and [ referencing ] TABS have
gone green the [ send data to Veri-Check ] button is enabled. Clicking
this creates a URL link which is the log in to Veri-Check generated for
each tenant also a [ Reference results ] button is created (traffic light
colour ORANGE as it is awaiting data).

The URL links to Veri-Check are emailed to tenant(s) automatically,
however, until references are accepted they remain on the
referencing page in case you need to send them to a tenant again.

When references are received the proof needs to be uploaded to the
[ Reference results ] TAB.
Doing so enables the [ email references to landlord ] button. After
which the next step is to document that references have been
accepted.

To comply with GDPR rules, consent to later pass details on to utility
companies is taken when tenant(s) log in to do their referencing.
