How to find your WATER SPID (Specific Profile Identifier Number)
The water industry is deregulating. Since April 2017 commercial customers have been able to
choose their own supplier of water and wastewater, instead of having to use the regional water
authority. Deregulation for residential customers is expected 2020 so for now SPID numbers (8
digits long) are only shown on bills for commercial customers. Note: there may be 2 x SPID
numbers (one for water and one for wastewater).
