3.7 Module 5 - Rent
The rent module is a time and day bounded rationing system.
For example:
Bicycles can be rented by the hour, day, week, month, year.
Where smart phone access technology is being used, keys to bicycle
lockers can be sent to the resident’s phone.
Parking spaces by the hour, day, night, week, month, year.
Residents can book parking spaces through the Busy Living App and
site staff can see available spaces to off-load and rent via sites such as
these below, commission rates are circa 20%.

Storage units by the week, month, year.
Typical storage unit sizes would be as below and Big Yellow Storage claim a
35sqft unit fits contents from a 1 bed apartment
50sqft unit (10ft deep x 5ft wide x 8 ft high)
35sqft unit (5ft deep x 7ft wide x 8 ft high)
25sqft unit (5ft deep x 5ft wide x 8 ft high)
15sqft (5ft deep x 3ft wide x 8 ft high)
10sqft (5ft deep x 2ft wide x 8 ft high)
Big Yellow claim at 35sqft unit fits 100 small boxes or contents of 1 bed flat.
Pricing @ £1 per sqft yields £520pa for a 10sqft unit.
Sleepover packs by the night (extra nights can be added)
With fold up foam mattresses that make seats or beds and inflatable
mattresses, a sleepover need not be a formal bed, this makes it easier to let residents
collect them and minimises damages to walls etc… Extras can include:
Duvet say £ 5 (ikea £3)
Pillow say £ 3 (Ikea £1.10)
Travel toothbrush complimentary
Hoover: Apartment care messaging can use humour to keep properties in good
condition and Henry can be rented for say £2 per hour
Sports accessories: such as table tennis bats and balls can be rented and if not
returned debited to the tenant’s account.
