3.4 Module 2: e-check-in:
st
This module is designed to deliver a 1 class resident
welcome/move in process we call it ‘e-check-in’, akin to checking in
for a flight and capturing preferences (sports & social), selling add-
ons (move-in stores, Concierge help…..) and permissions (to pass
details to utility providers and receive marketing to comply with the
3
GDPR ) along the way.
Key advantages of e-check-in:
1. prevents queues at reception on busy move-in days,
2. know who is coming and when, so site staff can greet them,
3. regulate the number of move-ins at any one time,
4. capture preferences (sports, hobbies) for event planning &
marketing,
5. invite tenants to upload a photo:
for the sports winners board,
to network & find friends in the development,
to announce them (tinder style) on e-message boards on
move-in day,
6. connect into their Facebook & social media pages,
4
7. easy upgrade from Guest to Resident,
8. trigger residents booklets,
9. capture how they heard about the development, travel
distances, etc…..
‘e-check-in’ is preferred as it captures tenant’s consent to marketing
of facilities etc…. and that this is targeted, not annoying. However,
a ‘check-in station’ at Reception can be enabled (additional
hardware cost), and Site Staff can also check-in residents on their
Site Staff PCs.
The move-in process invites tenant(s) to book optional extras which
can be free or priced as per your rationing model:
Loading bay(s) *optional charge @ £6 for 15 mins
Move-in store(s) *optional charge @ £6 for 15 mins
Concierge move-in help *optional @ £12 for 15 mins
Move-in journey planning:
Our e-check-in process enables site staff to:
1. see who is due to move in (Planet Rent App feeds through
contracts by API after they are e-signed),
2. trigger them an email inviting them to e-check-in,
3 GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation which comes into force 25 May 2018
