3.5 Module 3 - Book Facilities
Busy Living comes with facilities pre-set up making it easy to remove
those that don’t apply to your site. More can also be added to suit.
Facilities are based on 6 rationing systems:
slots per day - e.g., cinema
not capacity based - e.g., laundry
day bounded - e.g., parking, storage
service based - e.g., wake up call
capacity per day - e.g., apartment cleans
stock control - e.g., midnight snacks
Site staff can see: (1) Bookings lists to pick up jobs, prepare facilities, and be on hand to give a personal
welcome when appropriate, (2) Stock control – to know when as
disposable items are sold stock needs re-order, (3) Capacity based
slots (e.g., cleaning), site staff can edit app settings to say 2 cleaners
on site Saturday to deal with extra demand.
Facilities can be FREE such as ‘outdoor chess’, ‘walk the block dog’,
or the ‘pool table’ or charged at the rate you set during App setup.
Booking free events captures facility usage data and helps diffuse
conflict situations as the app booking can be shown to a person who
needs to vacate the facility. Also a maximum number of consecutive
bookings can be set, e.g., 2 x 30 minute pool table slots, but not 3.
Community Events: Site Staff can book out a facility to set up a
community event, thereby preventing others from booking the facility
at the same time. Events can be notified to residents based using:
App notifications,
Html emails (we have a pre-created selection),
directing residents to a web page,
By printing a flyer to put up on a notice board,
By uploading a flyer to
the community message board.
See examples of our pre-made
community event flyers and
taster session invites.
